Description: The Township of Montclair Uniform Construction Division of the Department of Community Services is seeking a self-motivated Principal Clerk to perform clerical duties such as file maintenance and correspondence along with providing excellent customer service in a busy and fast-paced environment; performs related duties as required. Work is performed under general direction from the Construction Official or his/her designee, who reviews performance for adherence to departmental policies and procedures. Duties: Customer service, data entry, correspondence, schedule preparation, filing and accurate record keepingAnswers telephones and collects permit feesAttends counter and interacts with the general public in a positive and professional manner while responding to questions related to the construction permit process Requirements: High School graduate or equivalent Two (2) years of general clerical experienceMust possess strong skills in MS Word and ExcelExperience in Spatial Data Logic software preferredSuccessful candidate will be an excellent team player and must be extremely organized and detail oriented Salary: $37,668 per year Apply: Please apply online through the Employment/Human Resources section of the Township of Montclair website by clicking APPLY here!
