SSES Specialist I (CDL Driver's License) We have an opening on our team for a Sewer System Evaluation Survey Tech I (SSES I). Compensation: $18.50-21.50/hr to start (plus travel pay when traveling) Benefits: Health, Dental and Vision Insurance; company paid life insurance; 401(k) Company matching (after 1 year of service), up to 5% after year 1; Paid Personal Time Off (PTO), and Paid Holidays; Profit Sharing, and opportunities for advancement Employment type: full-time We are looking for someone who is: self-motivated as well as team-oriented and possesses a good work ethic enjoys working hands-on and outside in various weather enjoys working in a moderate to fast pace work environment and able to walk up to 5 miles per day on various terrain mechanically inclined and possess working knowledge of using a variety of small tools, such as measuring tape, screw drivers and wrenches able and willing to work around sewers as well as enter a manhole, when necessary Drug free, including marijuana (we follow DOT regulations) Possess some technical skills to be able to quickly learn and use specific computer software, cell phone applications, and a type of GPS equipment 2 Years' or more as a CDL Driver Job Duties include (but are not inclusive): Wear proper Personal Protective Equipment ("PPE"). Complete and forward to supervisor your Daily Vehicle Inspection ("DVI"): check oil & fluids in vehicles and grease truck at all necessary grease points. Set up job site safely & properly. Communicate directly with Field Supervisor. Open manhole covers that vary in size and weight. Perform work at a fast pace. Understanding and ability to read mapping. Operating water hydrants. Clean pipes to be inspected. Vacuuming debris from access points including manholes and catch basins. Works with crew to enter manholes if necessary. Organize toolboxes and cleaning truck and equipment. And other duties required by the supervisor, and other duties as assigned. Substantial travel is a requirement and one must be willing to travel and room with peers in Company provided hotel or housing (long weekend home, depending upon distance may be alternate weekends Willingness to travel by plane is also required. Condition of Employment:
You must be able to pass a DOT physical examination to obtain and maintain a medical examiner's certificate (MEC).
