Affordable Lending Specialist The Inspire Home Loans Affordable Lending Specialist has primary responsibility for introducing loan products that allow more accessibility and affordability to homebuyers in our communities nationwide. This includes product research and comparison, project planning and maintenance of guidelines. This role supports and assists with the expansion of existing program enhancements and/or new program 'roll outs.' Specific Duties and Responsibilities Construct program enhancement and new program roll-out project plans.Develop and maintain program guidelines, matrices and job aids.Coordinate with all applicable departments, including but not limited to technology, compliance, secondary marketing loan operations and training for new program enhancements and program roll-outs.Set up training with affordable agencies and issue internal training guides for new programs.Interface with affordable lending agencies and maintain up-to-date internal processes.Monitor and research applicable Agency and Investor changes for internal communication.Compile internal and external Investor communications (i.e. Announcements, Guidelines, and Matrices).Research new products and program changes in the market place.Stay conversant with the affordable housing market by monitoring industry trends.Contribute to Product planning in a growing company.Returns all phone calls received including from Inspire Home Loans staff, Century Communities staff, etc. for calls received prior to 3:00pm by the end of the day, and all calls received after 3:00pm by 10:00am the next day.Perform any and all other duties at the direction of their manager. Qualifications: College degree or equivalent experienceMinimum 3 years (5-7 years preferred) product development or related affordable lending experienceMust have experience with bond programsMust have experience with CalHFAMust have experience rolling out new loan programsMust have training experienceDemonstrated proficiency in mortgage underwriting and compliance guidelines as they relate to Affordable Lending products and programsWorking knowledge of homebuyer education and counseling requirementsProficiency in MS Office products and loan origination systemsAbove average communications skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to deliver consistent messages to multiple stakeholdersFamiliarity with secondary mortgage market fundamentals considered a 'plus'Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing priorities in support of team and department needsStrong attention to detail and accuracy Category: Finance , Keywords: Loan Consultant
