SHIFT: Days (rotating weekends)

SCHEDULE: Full-time

Position Summary:
Responsible for planning, executing and evaluating the nursing care given to surgical patients. Has patient contact during the immediate pre, intra and immediate post-operative periods, monitors the activities of all nursing staff during the procedure to which she/he is assigned, demonstrates clinical skills, and serves as team leader on-call emergencies.
Reports To: Charge/Resource Nurse
Supervises: None
OR/Surgery Nurse FT/Days Rotating Weekends Surgery Unit

Qualifications

Position Requirements:
Licensure/ Certification/Registration:
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of California.
  • CPR certified in Basic Life Support.
  • ACLS preferred.
  • Certification (CNOR) preferred.
Education:
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Successfully pass Pharmacology test.
Experience:
  • One-year operating room experience preferred.
Special Qualifications:
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English.
  • Hear/speak adequately to communicate with and be understood by staff, patients, physicians and public.
