RN Critical Care - Intermediate Care Unit - Part Time Days
The Registered Nurse as a Staff Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit performs the functions of assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care for patients. Meets Standards of Care and Standards of Practice. Supervises assigned personnel. Promotes collaboration with physicians and personnel of other departments. Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to patients served. Demonstrates knowledge of principles of growth and development over life span and possesses ability to assess data reflective of patient status and interpret appropriate information needed to identify patient requirements relative to his/her age specific needs. Provides care needed as described in department policies and procedures. Completes a competency skills checklist within 3 months of employment.
ACLS within three (3) months of Hire/Transfer.
Proficiency in progressive care nursing procedures and skills, including cardiac dysrhythmia interpretation preferred.
Minimum of 1year recent progressive care nursing experience required and/or successful completion of a progressive care course.
Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support for adults.
Proficiency in general nursing procedures and skills in managing general medical/surgical patients required.
Proficiency in cardiac nursing procedures and skills, including cardiac dysrhythmia required.
Minimum of 2 years recent medical/surgical experience, including at least 1 year of telemetry, intermediate care, or adult critical care required.
