Engaged and challenged…North Kansas City Hospital's cardiovascular services are located on the 11th Floor of the Pavilion. We consolidated many of our cardiac services for the convenience of our patients and their families. Under the direction of the Nurse Director/Charge Nurse, patients and families are provided competent, holistic care based on nursing process. TEAMWORK is a work of HEART!
A day in the life…
-Caring for cardiothoracic surgical patients as well as other critically ill patients in collaboration with Cardiothoracic Surgeons, Cardiologist, Pulmonologist, NP's, RT's and many more disciplines.
-Monitoring interventions and therapies including Swan Ganz catheters, intra aortic balloon pumps, continues renal therapy, Impellas and more.
-Administering intravenous therapies including vasopressors, sedatives, anti-arrhythmic, electrolytes, blood products, etc.
-Uses assessment information and critical thinking skills to collaboratively develop individualized plan of care.
-Demonstrates the ability to set priorities and to coordinate and organize patient care delivery through effectively managing time, supplies, and resources.
What we need (requirements)…
-Registered Nurse (RN) State of Missouri.
-Basic Life Support (BLS)
-Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from AHA.
-One Year Med/Surg; Critical Care Experience.
What we ask for (preference)…
-Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN)
-One Year ICU Experience
