If so, Mortenson is currently seeking a Financial Analyst with your strengths and the following assets: Hands-on, energetic, disciplined and highly adaptable individual, comfortable with a fast-paced business environment and required recurring reporting and variance analysisDisplays a high level of intellectual 'horsepower', presenting resourceful and innovative solution strategies and a proactive and collaborative operating style with exceptional interpersonal communication skills (written and oral)Superior analytical (qualitative and quantitative) and Excel-based modeling skill sets with the ability to prioritize and manage workload effectively with minimal supervisionStrong working knowledge of Cash Flow, Balance Sheet and P&L statements and experience with ProForma development


Responsibilities: New Business Development Modeling, Valuation and Analysis Perform complex financial modeling and run valuation analyses as part of helping the business evaluate new opportunitiesDevelop various models, strategic analyses and key performance metrics with clearly defined and documented instructions and global assumptionsPerform and document tests of these models and assumptions, and provide recommended enhancements and process improvements when indicatedResearch and analyze financial and operating information relating to companies and industries as identifiedCreate trend analysis and financial performance exhibits for internal and external presentations Business Intelligence Reporting Development Support the transition of internal financial reporting to new business intelligence platform, including learning new software and developing required training materialsSupport the design and development of recurring internal financial packages as neededResponsible for required development, testing, implementation and training for all new reports as identified Corporate Financial Reporting and Analysis Lead and execute recurring financial reporting package creation, ensuring the integrity of all financials reported, and completing all associated analysis and schedules as a part of recurring reporting packages provided to leadership teamsCommunicate financial results and estimates to business leaders, prepare and deliver financial updates, create financial models, and analyze variances to key operating metricsProvide meaningful and actionable analysis to support leadership team in improving overall business resultsDocument financial processes as required and continually review and update the documentation to reflect changesDesign, develop and maintain financial templates, reports and associated communications to successfully capture, consolidate and model financial data and information as requiredProvide any required ad hoc financial reporting and analysis support and identify areas for process improvement as required


Qualifications: Education and Required Skills: 2-5 years of successive relevant experience within Corporate FP&AA Finance or Accounting undergraduate degreeAn Excel power user with exceptionally strong experience building and maintaining complex financial models. VBA and SQL coding experience preferred.ERP experience required. Oracle, Business Intelligence and Database management tools experience preferred.Ability to display executive presence with exceptional interpersonal communication skills (written and oral). Candidate should be able to easily and effectively communicate financial information with all levels of the organization.Hands-on energetic team player comfortable with a fast-paced business environment that requires the ability to prioritize and manage workload effectively with minimal supervision and toggle between high priority ad hoc requests and standardized recurring reporting and variance analysis.Ability to handle sensitive data and situations professionally, with discretion and confidentiality Mortenson is an EOE/Affirmative Action/M/F/Veteran/Disabled employer.
