In partnership with leaders, the market executive develops and executes strategy to grow business within specific market Understand market priorities, insights, influences and potential disruptorsStrategically analyze market trends and develop plan for understanding customers and winning work Leads business development within specific market in partnership with others (VP/GM, BD leader, Market Strategy leader) Develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential partners including, but not limited to: targeted customers, design professionals, partner companies, community leaders, utilities, equipment manufacturers, and engineering firmsBecome familiar with customer's project estimates to facilitate discussion with customer Establish and maintain successful customer/community relationships within specific market Conduct key customer service visits throughout projects within market, from preconstruction client surveys to close-out, ensuring project commitments are met, and issues are resolvedAct as primary customer contact for projects within marketMaintain customer relationships to be aware of current and future projects Provide leadership to project teams within specific market Review work of PE, Senior PM and PM assigned to projectMentor and manage team members, establishing and fostering team environmentDevelop team members for future career consideration and training opportunities Other duties as assigned Use the appropriate level of forethought and planning in decision making to assure project success
Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent experienceMinimum 10 years prior experience in management of large wastewater / water projectsProven positive and professional attitude, and strong customer service skillsExceptional business acumenExperience with the full cycle of construction from preconstruction / estimating to closeoutAbility to analyze market trends and determine options to meet customer needsDetail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple projectsPossess basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practicesMicrosoft Office, project and pertinent web application skills at an intermediate levelAbility to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies Must be willing to travel up to 75%Current driver's license Mortenson is an EOE/Affirmative Action/M/F/Veteran/Disabled employer. #LI-DB1 Category: Construction & Trades , Keywords: Utility Supervisor
