The opportunity
As Application Support Lead for this Global Insurance Company, you'll be involved with problem solving, service delivery and relationship management. You'll work with IT colleagues, business stakeholders and third parties - ultimately accountable to the company's diverse range of clients, who won't get the service they expect without your help.
This role is ideal for an existing Application Support person looking for their first step into management (or a side-step if you're already there). Alongside with the Head of Application Development, you'll be key to establishing a new 2nd line support team and associated processes, eventually being responsible for line management of a small number of Support Analysts.
What we're looking for
You've already got plenty of hands-on Application Support experience, and you're now looking to transfer those skills into management.
Alongside your understanding of Core Service Management concepts and familiarity with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, you'll have a basic understanding of service reporting, trend analysis, and capacity planning. You understand the value of delivering quality service to users, and can express complex technical issues using language that's accessible to all.
The client base is global so you'll need to offer flexibility regarding hours, there's currently a rota system in place to cover 07:00-19:00.
If you've got ITIL Certification or equivalent, that's helpful though not essential. Basic knowledge of any major Cloud platform is also desirable (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud etc.), as well as any other skills you have around design, delivery, and development.

The salary is £80,000 plus a bonus of between 5-15%, paid annually. The setup is hybrid, with 2-3 days in the City of London office each week, alongside home working.
