Technical Lead/Solution Architect - Permanent - Southend on Sea, UK - Hybrid Model - 90K - 95K

Description

The Architect will take ownership of the definition and design of specific service support integration and management solutions.

• Having a deep understanding of the e2e to end solution and ability to guide and supervise team and customer.
• Defining and contributing to the technical architecture throughout the life of the project.
• Manage technical risks, by identifying and owning them; Create backlog items as technical spikes to de-risk them.
• Work out the non-functional requirements with the Product teams and ensuring they are achievable and subsequently met.
• Controlling the technical configuration of the solution
• Utilise technical practices/tools such as TDD, Continuous Integration, Code Analysis Tools, Test automation tools etc.
• Advising on and co-ordinating each team's technical activities, resolving technical differences in line with the sprint goal.
• Ensuring adherence to appropriate standards of technical best practice
• Managing technical aspects of the transition of the solution into live use
• Advise technical support teams on resolution of live services issues(Incident and Problem Management)
• You will support Service Design team members in developing the overall service solution, help to shape, define, and implement client requirements.
• The tech lead will interface with Service Transition, Service Design and Technical Operations teams to ensure service design packages are sufficient to enable Service Transition to commence.
• Ability to get new technical scope and translate to the team and management.
• Appreciation of the fast-paced movement of the customer business and offer help to the customer to resolve business problems.

Must have:

• Strong understanding of micro services architected development experience using Java and Spring Boot
• Strong understanding of Relational Database development experience on Oracle and MySQL,
• Strong understanding of Rabbit MQ and IBM MQ
• Strong understanding of CI and DevOps technologies
• Practical experience with AWS ideally in a maintenance and expansion role
• Agile development and/or support experience (ie, Kanban, Scrum, TDD, BDD),
• Use of Jira, ServiceNow, Confluence.
• Automation build and test tools (eg Maven, Jenkins, Cucumber, Gitlab, Ansible),
• Past experience of Government digital project implementation would be an added advantage.
• Ability to multitask and support the dev/tech teams to resolve problems if needed hands on can be a very valuable skill.
