The Digital Operations Automation team is responsible for managing all cloud related automation initiatives globally. Our objective is to make the ongoing move of our entire infrastructure and applications to a hybrid (private/public) cloud environment successful by automating workloads, infrastructure & processes.

Main responsibilities will include developing automation for product as well assisting the operations team to support the automation platform itself.

The Job:

• Create concepts and documentation, as well as coordinate architectural adjustments.
• Technical ability to troubleshoot production issues from end user to core platform scale
• Provide full Root Cause Analysis for any production outages
• Develop, code automation for products such as network creation, virtual machine deployment & agent installs.
• Deliver subject-matter expertise across orchestration and automation topics as it relates to cloud and on-premise enterprise technology, and the relationship between the architectures.
• Assist the program architects to make cross-cutting architecture decisions.
• Contributing to the design of fail-safe architectures with reference to security and business continuity requirements
• Coordination of life cycle projects of components and products in your area of responsibility in close cooperation with the division datacenter operations and external service providers.
• Perform IT-internal global communication and coordination of technical changes for the automation stack.
• Define reports, KPIs, SLAs for the service and provider management.
• Evaluate proposals from external provider for infrastructure design adaptions.

Your Profile:

• Proficient in creating automation workflows and Cloud Templates
• Experience in automated product deployment in public cloud (Azure) and private cloud (VMware).
• Experience of driving 3rd party software via API calls.
• Experience in TypeScript and/or JavaScript is essential.
• Profound practical knowledge in vRealize Automation, & vRealize Orchestrator (VRA/VRO) version 8 is highly desirable
• Practical knowledge in configuration management tools like Salt (preferred), Chef, or Ansible.
• Comprehensive knowledge in bordering areas VMWare, LAN, WAN, Storage, DMZ, Backup, AD, Oracle, Azure Dashboard, Azure Site Recovery/Site Recovery Manager.
• Additional experience in VXRail/Other vendor Hyperconverged-Infrastructure architectures would be desirable.
• Strong communication and presentation skills in conveying complex issues; commitment and willingness to learn.
• Experience in working on technical projects and in virtual teams, and in coordinating and managing external service providers
• Willingness to evaluate and implement innovative architectures, not be restricted in own responsibility
• Analytical and methodological skills for preparing technical drafts
