Orbis Energy Limited is an environmental, health and safety consultancy, established in 2011, with an office in central London. We provide consultancy services to clients working in the energy industry and specialise in supporting offshore oil and gas activities through all lifecycle stages from licence award, drilling and field development through to decommissioning. About the Role

In order to fulfil future workloads and growth plans, Orbis is looking to recruit a Consultant / Senior Consultant. The preference for the role is full time, however, part time working options will also be considered. We currently operate a hybrid working policy (approx. 20% office working to 80% home working) but would be open to full time home working if travel to central London is not feasible.

The successful candidate will be responsible for project management, coordination, and delivery of permits and consents for oil and gas projects. They will be tasked with client liaison and consultation with external stakeholders, as well as mentoring and training of junior members of staff. There will also be opportunity to conduct oil spill modelling using OILMAP, prepare Oil Pollution Emergency Plans and participate in emergency response exercises.

The competitive salary for the role is negotiable (dependent on experience) and we offer a benefits package which includes a contributory pension scheme and a health and well-being benefit. Discretionary bonuses are paid on an annual basis.

Candidate Requirements and Experience

Candidates should be enthusiastic, self-motivated and keen to be part of the development of a dynamic and growing business. As a minimum, candidates must hold a Bachelors (essential) and Masters degree (desirable) in a science related discipline, and have a minimum of one year s relevant environmental consultancy experience supporting energy projects in the marine sector.

We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates who have technical knowledge / experience of one or more of the following:

• UKCS oil and gas permits and consents
• Chemical risk assessments, including experience of CHARM and Osborne Adams
• EIAs
• Oil Spill Contingency Planning
• Development and implementation of HSE Management Systems
• HSE Auditing

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate:

• An understanding of the regularly framework for the UK marine environment
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Enthusiasm for mentoring and building knowledge and skills
