Place of work: Hybrid - Sheffield/Duration: 12 months contract - possibility to extend/Hours of work: Monday - Friday office hours

As a Mid/Sr MQ Engineer, you will be responsible for all the administration, maintenance, deployment, and integration of IBM MQ in one of our clients.

What you get to do in this role:

• MQ Administration, Maintenance, Deployment, and Integration including installation and configuration of IBM MQ
• MQ Upgrades of 200+ Servers using Ansible Scripts
• Design and installation of IBM MQ Application Server
• Deploying enterprise applications
• Installation and configuration of new platform
• Proactively monitoring the health of the environment
• Configuring and managing the security of the platform
• Monitoring, optimizing, tuning, and troubleshooting MQ applications

Role Requirements:

• Subject Matter Expert (SME) in MQ and its related components.
• Expert in defining and modifying MQ configurations such as queues, listener ports, channels, pub/sub
• Troubleshoot issues during installation and configuration
• Develop a strategy and a plan with the Project Manager
• Work on multiple projects under direction of Project Manager
