VB.NET Developer

A keen and enthusiastic VB.NET Developer is required ASAP for a growing team based in Bedford. You must have a passion for solving business problems through innovation and engineering practices. A confident Developer is needed who can work well both as an individual and as part of a team, possessing first class communication skills, applying your knowledge and expertise to all aspects of the software development life cycle, liaising continuously with other team members and stakeholders across the business.

My client has started to migrate their VB.NET applications to C# so expertise in VB.NET is a must, as is a willingness to work with both VB.NET and C#. You will be required to write clean, reliable, secure and well documented code across, with the ability to plan and test your own code's functionality, carry out code reviews and conduct quality testing of software produced by other team members.

Knowledge of cloud technologies, such as Azure would be advantageous along with previous experience working with agile and continuous deployment. Knowledge of working with workflow tools like Jira, Git and Confluence is also a benefit.
