We are actively looking to secure a Data Engineer (Power BI) to join Experis as one of our expert consultants, delivering services to our clients.

The Role

You will be consulted out to our client which is a brilliant technology firm, working with a huge government client as a Power BI Platform Engineer. You must be eligible for SC Clearance.

The Platform Engineer will have an excellent understanding of the Microsoft Power BI Platform from an engineering perspective, so that they understand the capacity, capability, and administrative requirements of Power BI in an Enterprise setting.

Key Skills

• Experience of administrating Premium workspaces (both capacity and per user)
• Good understanding of Power BI security
• Good knowledge of managing Power BI data sets, data flows, an awareness of data marts, and modes of connecting to data
• Good understanding of performance optimisation and Power BI troubleshooting
• Good experience of using Data Lake data sets (and storage formats such as Parquet)
• Experience of Dataverse
• Experience of implementing PBI reporting in an ALM/CICD environment (ideally using Azure DevOps)
• Experience of using Azure Data Platform

Desirable Skills:

• Government experience
• Experienced in working with agile development methodology using Scrum framework
