Network Engineer

The Opportunity:

My client working within the telecoms sector are currently looking for a Network Engineer on a permanent basis.

The main responsibilities within the role will include; network maintenance and expansion activities, B2B consultancy and installation, second line support and customer support.

The role holder will also be responsible for ensuring that all Health and Safety, quality and compliance standards are adhered to throughout their daily work.

NB: You must have a full UK driving License.

Skills and Experience:

• System upgrades and configuration changes via company processes
• Work as part of a small team of network engineers.
• Take responsibility for individual projects.
• Utilising my clients network monitoring system with optimisation of network performance
• Network troubleshooting and fault analysis (this could be remote access or physical repair on-site)
• Ticket generation and response along with being part of the escalation process
• Test, installation and maintenance of network hub sites and devices
• B2B and complex solutions from survey to install
• Support the wider Networks team in day to day running of the Networks department
• Liaise with network department through fault and installation process using various communication tools
• Working on range of network types including FTTP, Fixed Wireless, Copper and Mobile
• Accurate and timely reporting of network uptime and outages
• Escalation to Principal Network Engineer, in line with severity ratings
• Working knowledge of Routers, Switches, radio equipment and fibre technologies
• Knowledge and understanding of Networking Protocols
