Business Intelligence Technical Officer

Our client are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Technical Officer to join their team based in Barnsley. You will be working on a permanent basis (37 hours per week)and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £31,099 - £37,261 per annum (Career Graded).

The Business Intelligence Technical Officer role:

We are seeking a dynamic and driven individual to join our clients award-winning team as a Business Intelligence Technical Officer (permanent position). You will be supporting vital work that underpins delivery of our clients key services such as Children's Social Care, Community Development, Public Health and many more.

As a Business Intelligence Technical Officer, you will be responsible for supporting the development and delivery of specialist areas including GIS and addressing, visualisation, integration, and data infrastructure. You will also assist in the management of corporate datasets on behalf of the organisation, using internal and external data to ensure they are utilised effectively.

You will need to be experienced in gathering information, analysing data, preparing and presenting detailed and complex/contentious reports to a variety of audiences, including non-specialists.

Ideal experience would be SQL, use of Power BI, ETL tools such as FME or SSIS.

The role has two pay level grades, with a Level 4 qualification required as a minimum.

You must be willing to adapt and work independently, but still be a critical part of the team and work closely with your colleagues to ensure their outputs support innovation and transformation.
