Wells Fargo Payments, Virtual Solutions & Innovation (PVSI)
The Payments, Virtual Solutions, and Innovation (PVSI) team includes Operations, Consumer Credit Card, Retail Services, Consumer Deposits, the Innovation Group, Treasury Management, Merchant Services and Wells Fargo Virtual Channels and the professional services teams that partner with these businesses. PVSI's focus is on delivering the next generation of payments and deposit capabilities and advancing our digital and online offerings to design new customer experiences and products. Our guiding principles are to start with the customer, move faster, and partner effectively.
PVSI Fraud and Claims Management
The PVSI Fraud and Claims Management (PVSI FCM) team partners with product, channel, risk and technology teams to develop and provide secure, reliable, scalable and customer friendly prevention, investigation and claims services that protect customers and Wells Fargo from fraud losses. The team reviews account activity and high-risk transactions to prevent victim and perpetrator fraud, processes check fraud and Automated Clearing House (ACH) claims, investigates and resolves customer disputes (fraud and non-fraud) on all transaction types and manages all Wells Fargo identity theft cases.
The Roles
Industry Insights Leader:
This leader s primary responsibility will be to represent Wells Fargo on industry trade organizations, payment card networks, and fraud working committees around the industry. This individual must be able to have a very broad payments and fraud subject matter expertise to influence networks and trade organizations while gleaning insights that can be useful to Wells Fargo. Candidates should have previous experience interpreting policy changes in the industry and the impact on Wells Fargo and our customers. Insights will be leveraged within our end-to-end risk framework and control designs for new products and services. This leader is expected to stay informed of anticipated changes in the marketplace while comparing possible outcomes to our end-to-end control design and framework. This individual will perform industry benchmarking where possible and may perform due diligence on vendor capabilities, perform proof of concepts, etc.
The Industry Insights Leader will need to have a strong relationship across all of the verticals within Prevention and Partnering and Fraud and Claims Management, and may be asked to present at trade organization annual conferences, etc.
O riginations Control Leader:
This leader s primary responsibility is to understand and consult on acquisition risk across all portfolios. Insights will be fed back into our end-to-end risk framework and control designs for new products and services. This individual is expected to find a balance between acquisition approvals and risk, consult on new products in the pipeline and produce a comprehensive consultation and messaging to senior executives. This leader will perform industry benchmarking where possible and may perform due diligence on vendor capabilities, perform proof of concepts, etc.
The Originations Control Leader will ensure effective controls are leveraged across all products, services and channels. This role will partner with Detection Analytics to perform a deep dive on Synthetics, assist with ID Theft recommendations, understand and report on mule activity as well as business email compromise activity. This leader may represent Wells Fargo on industry trade organizations as topics arise.

The successful candidates for these roles will demonstrate effectiveness in building high performing teams focused on driving business results through leadership effectiveness and team member engagement. The leaders will contribute to broad PVSI and Operations strategies with a One Wells Fargo lens by living the vision and values of Wells Fargo.
It requires a leader with strong transformational leadership, relationship management, influencing, vision and execution skills. A key differentiator will be the ability to understand and operate successfully in a complex, heavily matrixed corporate environment. The role requires a sense of urgency, passion for results, and personal accountability for achievement while making difficult decisions based on a mixture of analysis, experience, and judgement.

Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: fraud, Bank Secrecy Act, anti money laundering, investigations of financial crimes transactions or policy violations, risk management, or compliance
  • 5+ years of management experience
Other Desired Qualifications
  • BS/BA or equivalent and minimum of 12 years experience, including 5 years management experience.
  • Master s degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Certified Fraud Examiner and Certified Fraud Specialist designations a plus.
  • Extensive experience in fraud management and fraud detection business and analytical acumen
  • Proven success attracting, leading, and engaging a diverse team with different levels of experience across multiple geographies and creating a culture of service and efficiency.
  • Demonstrated experience creating credible challenge to support business transformation.
  • Solid understanding of a broad cross-section of products and services to consumers and business in order to drive a customer centric approach.
  • Strong risk management leadership, skills and experience along with a deep understanding of the ever-evolving governance processes and regulatory environments.
Location: Charlotte, NC preferred; Chandler, AZ, Roanoke, VA; Other locations may be considered
