The Role:

As a Senior Network Engineer, you will serve as a trusted subject matter expert in network infrastructure, providing professional and technical expertise. Your primary responsibility will be to analyse, design, develop, install, configure, and support our clients network devices, infrastructure, and applications. You will actively contribute to projects, shaping the architecture and strategy functions, and creating technical standards. Additionally, you will take ownership of internal projects and ensure their successful delivery to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop high-and low-level designs to meet intricate networking requirements.
• Construct and configure high quality networked hardware and software solutions.
• Conduct fault-finding, monitoring, and resolution activities to ensure optimal network performance.
• Produce comprehensive technical documentation with clarity and precision.
• Maintain an inventory of network hardware and IP Addressing.
• Collaborate with team members, sharing knowledge and providing constructive peer reviews.
• Generate progress reports and provide feedback to team members and leadership.
• Provide on-site support for issue resolution, project deployment, and BAU activities.
• Demonstrate ownership and deliver projects with excellence.

Requirements:

• Extensive experience in network installation and configuration.
• Proficiency in creating accurate and detailed technical and user documentation.
• Sound knowledge of routing protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, and RIP.
• Ability to design networks that align with customer requirements.
• Expertise in configuring Cisco Routers and Switches.
• Familiarity with WAN technologies.
• Azure Cloud connectivity and Firewall experience.
• Understanding of Checkpoint Firewalls.
• Strong grasp of routing and switching protocols.
• Proficiency in network management protocols like SNMP, SSH, SysLog.
• Experience with monitoring systems like SolarWinds and ticket systems.
