Web Operations Engineer

Web Operations Engineer - HYBRID - 3 days on site is a must

We have one of our biggest customers looking for an experienced Web Operations Engineer.

Your role:

As a Web Ops Engineer, you will be a key member of a team supporting the client's E-commerce platforms. You will support the live websites and monitor and investigate any performance, functional, or security issues as a part of the triage process. You will bring a positive attitude and challenge yourself and other team members to identify areas of improvement in performance, scalability, and robustness of the platform. This can be done in a collaborative environment, with support from the engineering team and dev ops engineers.

You are expected to be self-reflective and be able to identify your areas for development that will allow you to progress to the next level in your career.

Your responsibilities:

• Fault finding, analysis and of logging information for reporting of issue and performance exceptions
• Participation in the bug triage and investigation process, updating stakeholders on impact analysis results
• Proactively monitoring system performance using APM tooling
• Provide input on ways to improve the stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of the environment
• Create and modify scripts or applications to perform tasks
• Collaborate with other teams and team members to develop automation strategies and deployment processes

Your profile:

• Strong problem solving and communication skills
• Log analysis - Kibana or similar
• APM tooling
• Strong web security experience
• eCommerce experience - Hybris or other
• Good understanding of web browser and the HTTP protocol
• CDN knowledge
• Linux experience
