Salary: £50,000 - £55,000

I am now recruiting for a fantastic client of mine who are hiring a Senior/Lead Software Developer. My client is an exciting Fintech Payments platform changing. They are looking for an experienced Developer with expertise in Laravel and Open Banking (or at least candidates who are willing to work towards). You will be responsible for leading the development of our Open Banking platform, including implementing new features, optimising existing functionality, and ensuring the platform complies with relevant industry standards. Your responsibilities will include: Lead the development of our Open Banking platform using Laravel, Work closely with our Product and Design teams to implement new features and functionality, Ensure the platform complies with relevant industry standards, Optimise existing functionality to improve performance and scalability, Understand and manage the complexities of running web applications at scale, Work with the Infrastructure team to document and communicate the resource requirements of the software platform, Mentor and manage a team of software developers (in future)

Requirements:

- Extensive experience with Laravel and PHP development
- Strong knowledge of Open Banking standards and regulations
- Experience leading and managing software development teams
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with AWS and cloud-based technologies
- Knowledge of Front End technologies, such as JavaScript and Vue.js
- Working knowledge of OAuth and OpenID
- Understanding of SQL and No-SQL databases and data structures
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies
- Experience with unit and integration testing
- Excellent problem-solving and reasoning skills
