The Role

A pioneering clean energy organisation specialising in cutting edge fuel cell technology are seeking an experienced Process Engineer to join their growing organisation.

As the Manufaturing Engineer (relevant job titles could also include Process Engineer or Prouction Engineer), you will be involved in the following:

• Improving overall manufacturing processes using lean and 6 sigma methodologies

• Technology transfer - transfering knowledge to licensed manufacturing partners regarding new manufacturing technology and process, along with updates to current technology and processes.

• Provide support for manufacturing operations.

• Organize parts, building and paperwork for prototypes

• Set up production cells, including the full documentation pack and full training

• Develop current manufacturing processes and strong in problem resolution.

• Using 8D methodology for issue resolution

• Planning projects including trials of new manufacturing processes

• Carrying out statistical and data analysis from these trials

• Site acceptance testing

• Assist in the acquisition of new equipment, including planning for delivery and commissioning.

• Liaise with manufacturing operations and research and development to solve problems.

• Ensure equipment performs within the expected ranges of performance.

• Undertake technology transfer to manufacturing Licensee's

• Support design and set up of manufacturing site with Licensee's

Experience required

• Minimum of 3 years experience as a Process Engineer, Production Engineer or Manufacturing Engineer

• Degree qualified (in any engineering discipline but ideally process engineering, chemical engineering, environmental engineering, materials science, chemistry, physics, renewables energy or anything energy or fuel cell related)

• Experience with or willingness to undertake Technology Transfer duties - transfering technology and process updates to licensed manufacturing partners.
