My client is looking for a Protective Monitoring Engineer for a client ff mine who are a leading IT Systems Integrator operating within the UK defence sector. You will join the SDWAN Support Team in a Third Line Shared Service Support Engineer role to work collaboratively across accounts and will be involved in direct technical support for all of Protective Monitoring elements.
Responsibilities:
- As a Protective Monitoring Engineer you will be responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and continual improvement (refinement) of alerting rulesets in response to good practice guidelines and continuous service improvement as a result of incident detection.
- Detailed investigation and Diagnostics via tooling of service performance and functionality proactively
- As a Protective Monitoring Engineer, you will create workarounds, solutions, and mitigations for identified issues.
- Identify issues requiring more detailed and in-depth analysis and escalate to product manufacture.
Your experience
- As a Protective Monitoring Engineer, you will have experience working in a 3rd Technical support group.
- Experience and awareness of NCSC security principles and familiar with implementing these principles in operational environments.
- As a Protective Monitoring Engineer, you will have experience and knowledge of Protective Monitoring toolsets such as Elastic, LiveNX, Tenable, and Zabbix.
