Estate Manager

Location: London

Salary: Up to £70,000

Remote Element: Hybrid (2 days on site)

This role will help align the companies strategic, financial and operational needs and structure of the business. This involves leading with the landlord and tenant, daily estates, transactions, rating, property lease management and negotiations. With this role there will be collaboration with the head of property to develop a mid to long-term strategy for the business so that you are then responsible for leading and negotiating transactions, lease renewals and rent reviews on an ongoing basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Able to Manage day to day property related issues
• Able to manage day to day landlord relationships
• Communicate with other departments including legal, operations, and finance to ensure smooth running of the department.
• Communicate with the maintenance team to ensure that building and property repairs are dealt with quickly, efficiently and cost effective.
• Communicate with professional teams, including solicitors, agents, and planning consultants whilst working with the wider property teams.
• Arrange and deliver reports for the senior management including recommendations, detailed feasibility studies and strong financial.
• Call attention to procedures and processes and providing solutions for the company to save costs and make long term profit.
• Oversee the commercial and residential lettings.

About you:

• Ideally you will be a general property professional, RICS qualified or qualified by experience
• The ideal person will have demonstrable general property experience, preferably within a retail or multi-site environment.
• Have excellent knowledge and experience of convenience retail sector
• Be experienced at negotiating as a tenant to secure the best renewals of leases
• Be experienced at negotiating with tenants to secure the best returns on investment
• Have excellent experience in project management
• Have previous experience of franchise operations is a bonus
• Experience of property acquisitions and estate management
• Know of people and have a good reputation in the property sector
• Have good commercial acumen and experience of financial responsibilities
• Have extensive retails experience gained either at a client-side end user, retail developer or agency.
