SAP Finance Lead

Our client is a global consulting company based in London, currently embarking on an ambitious growth plan for their Technology Consulting practice.

To help facilitate this and showcase their expertise, they are embarking on an implementation of SAP S/4HANA Cloud with Professional Services as part of a full business transformation project.

We are looking for a SAP Finance Functional Lead to join the team. You will work within the implementation project before transitioning to Lead the SAP Finance area within the CoE on a permanent basis. As the SAP Finance Functional Lead you will create value and accelerate the delivery of S/4 HANA-based business transformations. The role will act as a Functional SME and support delivery of Business process strategy and governance, aligned to the underpinning SAP Finance Product Strategy.
The individual must have the gravitas and experience to work with senior business stakeholders in leading workshops and discovery sessions.

Responsibilities:
* Provide functional leadership, working closely with Business Process Owners, Product Owners and Operations Managers to fully understand process requirements and align with product roadmaps
* Determine and recommend functional design, focused on business objectives and desired outcomes
* Contribute to development of product strategy and subsequent roadmap, with special focus on SAP S/4 Hana Cloud
* Responsible for managing budgets, people management and performance across the business Operations SAP CoE team
* Provide oversight and guidance on major incident root cause investigations and be the point of escalation for technical issues
* Lead point of contact with vendors on discussing options and decisions on functional changes to in-scope applications
* Represent the relevant business Operations team in appropriate governance forums. Chair relevant governance forums to ensure process metrics and KPIs are understood and adhered to by relevant process practitioners

Experience required:
* Deep Functional Understanding of Record to Report, Core Finance and Treasury business processes
* Experience with SAP Finance, SAP Treasury and related applications
* Experience in large-scale transformation programs, preferably in S/4HANA implementation with expert initial process design
* Experience in Professional Services industry (desired)
* Previous experience within a IT Operations environment or SAP CoE
* Knowledge of Back Office business processes
* Knowledge of SaaS Release processes and procedures related to S/4 HANA, or SAP Partner products
* Working knowledge of relevant service management standards and frameworks (eg ITIL, Agile, DevOps, COBIT etc.)
* Have good interpersonal and senior stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver value
* Innovative mindset for driving a continuous improvement culture
