Commercial Property Solicitor

My client, based in Greenwich SE10, is looking for a commercial property solicitor with a minimum of 10 years PQE to join them in their new modern riverfront office in Greenwich.

They are looking for an experienced solicitor to take on a full case load and to support the department in handling increased volumes of work which continue to be generated through various marketing and networking initiatives.

The solicitor will be part of a team of 5 lawyers and must be fully competent at a high level in all aspects of:

1. Sales and purchases (freehold and leasehold)
2. Conditional sales and purchases
3. Leases
4. 1954 Act lease renewals
5. Ancillary deeds (of variation, surrender, rent deposit, licence for alterations,
6. Refinancing (acting for lenders and borrowers alike)
7. Overage
8. Options over land

If you think you are the right candidate you must be able to demonstrate that you have either a following or an established network of relationships with key referrers to complement the existing extensive network. The department generates a lot of commercial property work and uses state of the art IT equipment and a modern case management system to productively provide these services to its clients. The right candidate will be required to demonstrate competency in IT (such as the use of Microsoft Word, and Outlook) and the ability to learn and use the case management system.

The department consists of 4 commercial property lawyers (including a professional support lawyer who supports the fee-earning lawyers) and a departmental secretary.

This firm provides flexible working arrangements, currently requiring full time fee earning lawyers to attend the office two days per week and to work remotely the other three days.

The right candidates aim should, in addition to taking on the existing case load, be able to build their own practice (we will want to hear their marketing ideas) and their own clients, be technically excellent, comply with our office procedures and bill 3x their salary after which they will get a bonus.
