Focus of the role

The successful candidate will be responsible for support of the Quality Control function. To undertake the analytical related testing and completion of quality system test records to support the site business requirements. To adhere to the procedures and work instructions through execution of GLP, GDP and site safety procedures, ensuring accuracy of test results to ensure the continuing suitability, adequacy, and effectiveness of the Quality Control testing in accordance with the Quality Management System.

Role Responsibilities

  • To inspect incoming raw materials and finished products according to all quality and safety test methods, using physical and paper-based analysis methods.
  • To check and ensure all incoming raw materials and finished products comply with documented material specifications.
  • To release raw materials for production use and finished products for despatch to customers.
  • To maintain and improve the quality testing methods employed within the laboratory.
  • To develop and maintain quality inspection reports.
  • To ensure all testing equipment is calibrated and verified as per the Raleigh calibration and verification calendar detailed in the QMS.
  • To perform bioburden and environmental sample collection for off-site inspection.
  • To report all quality anomalies to the wider team.
  • To assist the Quality Team in root cause analysis and CAPA response to customer complaints, anomalies, concerns, and issues.
  • To collate test data, monitor overall process performance and draft quality reports.
  • To identify possible areas for improvement in quality control and assurance processes.
  • To assist the New Product Development team with quality related issues.

Qualification & skills

  • Proficient in spreadsheets and word processor applications.
  • Ability to independently plan, execute, and/or problem solve moderate situations.
  • Solid oral and written communication skills.
  • Computer literate - knowledge of Word, PowerPoint and Excel an advantage - to produce reports, analyse data etc. effectively.
  • Able to work autonomously and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing work environment to meet production demands.
  • Must be computer literate eg. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, ERP systems.
