Data Migration Analyst

Job Description:

As a Data Migration Analyst, you will play a crucial role in the successful execution of an ERP implementation project for our European client, specifically focusing on migrating data from SAP to Infor ERP. You will collaborate with the project team, business users, and technical teams to analyze, validate, and migrate data, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and completeness throughout the migration process.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the project team and stakeholders to understand data migration requirements and objectives for the SAP to Infor ERP implementation project.
• Analyze and profile data from SAP systems, identifying data structures, formats, and relationships.
• Validate data quality and integrity, performing data cleansing and transformation activities as necessary.
• Develop and execute data mapping strategies, ensuring accurate data transfer from SAP to Infor ERP.
• Collaborate with technical teams to develop and execute data migration scripts or programs.
• Monitor data migration activities, identifying and resolving data-related issues or discrepancies.
• Develop and execute data reconciliation processes post-migration to ensure the completeness and accuracy of migrated data.
• Collaborate with business users to validate migrated data and address any data-related concerns or issues.
• Create and maintain documentation of data migration processes, procedures, and mappings.
• Ensure compliance with data governance policies and regulatory requirements during the migration process.
• Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and advancements in data migration and ERP systems, particularly within the European market.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 8 years of experience in data analysis, data mapping, and data migration activities, preferably within ERP implementations and specifically from SAP to Infor ERP.
• Strong technical knowledge of SAP and Infor ERP systems, including data structures, modules, and integration points.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with data migration tools and technologies.
• Solid understanding of data quality and integrity principles, as well as data cleansing and validation techniques.
• Attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve data-related issues and ensure data accuracy and completeness.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to work with complex data sets and identify data patterns and anomalies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate project updates to stakeholders.
• Knowledge of data governance practices, compliance regulations, and industry-specific data structures, particularly within the European context.
• Experience with ERP implementations and familiarity with the challenges and considerations involved in migrating data from SAP to Infor ERP is highly desirable.
