Graduate Accountant

This is a dynamic and well-respected financial services consulting firm based in the city of London. They work with a broad range of clients across the asset & wealth management and insurance companies.

They are looking to expand their finance department by recruiting a talented Graduate Accountant to join the business.

Role

The Graduate Accountant for this consulting firm within financial services, will take on a number of key duties including:

• Process supplier bills and expenses to the accounting system for multiple entities
• Monitor AP invoices to ensure timely payment and resolve supplier queries
• Enter payment runs on the system
• Assist with credit control process
• Process customer invoices, credit notes and payments within the accounting system
• Liaise regularly with wider team to ensure all debtors are recovered
• Assist with preparation of bank reconciliations
• Provide support on an ad hoc basis in other business operations

Profile

The ideal profile for this Graduate Accountant position should have the following attributes:

• 6-12 months of experience within a Finance Assistant/Accounts Assistant capacity (AP & AR experience)
• Recent Graduate (numerical/accounting degree) or similar
• Good knowledge around double-entry & accounting principles
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience with Excel (Pivot tables & VLOOKUPs)
• Desire to study towards an accounting qualification (AAT/ACCA/CIMA)

£25,000 - £30,000 + benefits including:

The salary range/rates of pay is dependent upon your experience, qualifications or training.
