REQUIRED: SAFETY ENGINEER - SC OR DV CLEARED
LOCATION: CHRISTCHURCH 3 DAYS ONSITE, REST REMOTE (OCCASIONAL TRAVEL TO BRISTOL & CORSHAM)
DURATION: 6 MONTH INITIAL CONTRACT

Product Safety Lead required reporting to the Technical Authority. Would be responsible for Safety Analysis such as Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOPs), Functional Failure Analysis (FFA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Failure Mode, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) in accordance with the NG safety processes.
Production of Safety and Environmental Management Plan and all other safety documentation to support Design Certification and Delivery employing all required facets of the product safety life cycle in accordance with the customer's Product Safety Policy.
Providing credible advice and guidance to project team and the customer on Product Safety issues
Production and maintenance of Safety and Environmental Management Plan
Generate safety requirements for the system to ensure that the customer's safety targets and derived safety targets can be met by the system design
Hazard Analysis and Mitigation throughout the Design and Integration Phases
Reviewing and advising on supplier safety documentation and plans
Production of Safety and Environmental Case Report to document the Safety Argument for the system
Collect evidence of compliance with UK and EU legislation and regulations
Production of safety documentation to support Design Certification
Attendance at Authority's Project Safety and Environmental Panel and joint Hazard Analysis meetings

Due to the nature and urgency of this post, candidates holding or who have held high level security clearance in the past are most welcome to apply.
