Electrical Engineer

iO Associates is looking for a HYBRID CONTRACT Electrical Engineer, to work at the Devonport site for one of the British companies that provide engineering services to the aerospace, defence, and nuclear industries. It is an expert in managing complex infrastructure.

You will be preparing and/or checking designs, analyses, reports, drawings, specifications and other documents in support of Nuclear and Non-Nuclear related plant, facility and equipment within the company's licensed, authorised and operational sites, or in support of external contracts.

Locations: Plymouth, UK

Daily rate: up to £70 per hour Inside IR35

Working pattern: HYBRID

*This role may require Security Clearance, so candidates with SC or SC clearable shall apply.

A successful candidate will have:

• Possess the knowledge and abilities necessary for managing complicated design development technically throughout the design life cycle.
• The capability to manage projects in compliance with Company and departmental processes relating to Design, Health & Safety and Quality standards.
• Experience of the design support to construction, operation, refit/repair of conventional and nuclear submarines.
• Prior experience of design of electrical building services, to include fire detection and alarm systems, industrial lighting and emergency lighting, site broadcast (PA) and HVAC.
