Site Reliability Engineer

Site Reliability Engineer vacancy for a globally operating Basel based company in the financial sector.

Your tasks:

• Designing reliable systems and processes that ensure improved performance of the company's software products
• Liaising with development and operations teams to identify performance bottlenecks and security vulnerabilities
• Implementing monitoring, logging and alerting systems that provide visibility into the health and performance of systems and applications
• Using tools like Ansible and Kubernetes to automate infrastructure deployment, configuration and management
• Ensuring data availability and integrity by developing disaster recovery plans and backup systems
• Scaling the company's systems by conducting performance testing and capacity planning, while also participating in on-call rotations and responding to incidents in an effective manner

Your experience/knowledge:

• 4+ years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or a similar role
• Strong understanding of supporting applications running on Windows Servers
• In-depth knowledge of Windows systems administration, networking and security
• Excellent Scripting skills in languages such as Bash, Windows Batch or Power Shell
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server
• Language skills: English - fluent in written and spoken

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Good problem solving and root cause analysis approach
