Paralegal - Contracts (Oil & Gas/Energy) - 12 month Contract

A global organisation require a Contracts Specialist to join their team on a 12 month contract.

The Contracting Team is a dedicated subject matter expert team within Procurement. The team has responsibility for creating, owning and managing all of procurement contract templates.

Responsibilities:

• Draft and support the development and deployment of a new suite of simpler and flexible contract templates
• Draft clear and concise guidance to assist practitioners in the selection/use of the new templates to create, negotiate and manage procurement contracts
• Engage with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to gather feedback, inputs and requirements to develop fit for purpose templates and guidance
• Support the selection and deployment of a tool to digitalise and automate contract life cycle management

Experience:

• Knowledge of contract negotiation, execution and management (at subject matter expert level)
• Subject matter expert of contract drafting
• Deep understanding and experience of contracting with ability to translate business requirements into effective contracts to mitigate legal, commercial and reputational risk
• Ideally a good understanding of Oil & Gas and/or Energy business requirements related to contracting
