Financial Controller

A growing multi-asset investment fund are looking to expand their finance team and are seeking a Financial Controller to join their team.

The primary function of this role is the financial control of the Fund entities.

You will:

• Learn and then take ownership of control processes
• Oversee, underwrite, and provide coverage for daily processes
• Ensure that the clients individual controls combine to appropriately manage all risks
• Build and maintain clear policies, process instructions and guidance of internal Wikipedia
• Adapt control processes to incorporate new portfolios and changes to reporting hierarchies
• Reliably produce accurate, timely, meaningful reports
• Issue weekly performance reports to our Investors and respond to queries
• Issue strategy "Factsheets" with commentary
• Pro-actively modify reports to answer the most important question at the time
• Manage (automated) daily reporting to the clients Investors'
• Create ad-hoc reports when requested
• Produce statutory Financial Statements
• Oversee bookkeeping and month end processes
• Establish and maintain regular light management reporting
• Produce cash flow forecasts and bill clients on time to ensure cash needs are met

Candidate Essentials:

• ACA/ACCA Qualified Accountant
• Enjoys using routine and structure to produce consistent and high-quality outcomes
• Likes to work on a variety of tasks throughout the day
• Enjoys solving numerical puzzles
• Can describe what they do and why
• Knowledge of Fund Operations or Financial Instruments is helpful but not required

Location: Based in our London office, with the option of hybrid working.
