Principal Database Engineer

Salary up to £70,000 + 10% bonus

Remote with travel to Leeds

Fruition IT are on the lookout for an experienced Principal Database Engineer to join an enterprise scale organisation who provide a wide spectrum of data and analytics services for hundreds of millions of people across 30 countries.

As the Principal Data Engineer, you will use your knowledge and enthusiasm of modern engineering practices to help develop their products towards the defined roadmap.

You will assume the position of Principal in a scrum team, making technical decisions, coaching and supporting the team, while also being very hands-on and expected to add real value from your experience, insight, and leadership by example.

We are looking for:

• Solid commercial experience of programming, including SQL and T-SQL
• Experience of creating distributed, service-based systems
• Experience of modern CI/CD practices and techniques
• Experience of automated testing and deployment
• Leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
