For a customer who operates the largest regional data centre in the Netherlands and also has operations in Germany and Switzerland, iO Associates is seeking a network engineer. Large corporations, government agencies, cloud and IT service providers, as well as smaller businesses, are some of its clients.

As a Network Engineer, you'll operate the communication networks and services (both internally and on-site at customers) and monitor the functionality and capacity of the network services.

By putting steps into place to reduce susceptibility to faults, you will identify, examine, and eradicate network failures while taking steps to reduce susceptibility to faults. In the case of a failure or disruption of network components or network services, you will also be in charge of managing the start of technical transitional and alternative procedures.

Requirements

• Work authorization to work for any employer in Switzerland
• Completed professional IT basic training and higher education at level HF, TS in the field of IT/communication technology
• Relevant professional experience in the network area
• Sound expertise and experience in routing and network segmentation
• In-depth knowledge of BGP in the provider environment and layer 2/3 VPN services
• Experiences with the manufacturers Cisco and Extreme Networks or Huawei
• Preferably certification at professional level (CCNP, JNCP, HCNP)
• Category B driver's license
