Hays are recruiting for an exciting opportunity for a Financial Steering Specialist to join our client on an ongoing long term temporary assignment for an approximate duration of 12 months.
Location: Oxford
Assignment type: Temporary, ongoing basis where you will be engaged via Hays
Working environment: Hybrid Hours per week: 37
Pay type: Competitive hourly pay rate
Your new role -
In your role as a Technology Steering & Service Delivery Specialist you will be responsible for setting the financial goals and targets for the year and controlling parameters in the areas of personnel, budget and investment for our client across all UK locations.
Within the year, you will consolidate the forecast and extrapolate the required data in close coordination with the central control offices and the corresponding local controlling departments. Using this data, you will create targets in line with the forecasts and identify possible and actual deviations.
You will also consolidate the energy costs of the Europe Region whilst ensuring close coordination with the energy managers at all respective locations. Your remit will include coordination of possible dates for all central valuation orders within the Europe region as well as moderating and presenting business topics in the relevant committees and management groups. You will drive innovation and impact change by actively participating in various cross-departmental projects including digitisation and system development projects.
What you'll need to succeed -
- You will be highly motivated and become a flexible part of a small intercultural team where you will feel a strong sense of belonging. Possession of a university degree/bachelors/masters
- Previous experience in the areas of corporate planning, controlling, finance, accounting or reporting.
- A high proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications is required especially Excel.
- German language skills would be beneficial.
- Knowledge and application experience using various SAP applications.
