Internal Communications Manager
Whitehall Resources are currently looking for an Internal Communications Manager based in Cheshire 1-2 Days a week, remainder remote for an initial 6-month contract.
*OUTSIDE IR35.*
Job Spec:
You would be responsible for preparing and supporting the development of internal communications, including providing administrative support to the communications team.
Likely to arrange meetings, maintain databases, monitor project progress and budgets, as well as employing expertise of internal communication to support the effective dissemination of the client's strategies, policies and other key information to a geographical or functional area. May provide support at conferences and exhibitions
Main Responsibilities:
- Provides a communications support service to a range of people and tasks within the business area
- Coordinates internal and external meetings so that they run smoothly, including scheduling meeting times, making travel arrangements for attendees, and ensuring that various meeting amenities are available
- Provides specialist project-based communications support when required, including support at external events
- Support on multiple internal communications initiatives/projects, to deliver unified corporate messages through multiple media
- Generates high quality communications deliverables, either for internal or external audiences, on time, to budget and in keeping with agreed scope and objectives, including communication monitoring reports and website updates.
- Executes different elements of Operations IT's engagement with internal or external stakeholders, enhancing its reputation, helping it understand the internal or external environment and ensuring that it is better able to achieve its organisational goals and objectives
- Manages own work to ensure that assignments are delivered on time, within budget and to high standard of quality
- Helps ensure communications are on-message and pushed through the appropriate channels
- Develops engaging communications in keeping with the programs and strategies developed by more senior internal communications professionals
- Networks with other colleagues and external contacts to generate a better understanding of the internal and external environment within which the client operates
- Collects employee feedback through formal and informal channels and feeds this upward to help monitor the effectiveness of existing communications programs
- Employees feedback from past communication initiatives, clients and internal audiences to improve the effectiveness of future internal communications
Key Skills:
- Internal Communications Experience in Pharma/IT
- Ability to understand and simplify technical information to create a business story/value statements for the relevant stakeholder audience
- Strong Microsoft skills - Excel & PowerPoint
- Experience of running/planning large virtual events, manage communication calendar events. Ensuring comms to relevant stakeholder audience
- Experience of managing Senior Leader monthly value communications
- Experience of Workplace platform to review/scout data content to support build of bi - weekly communications
- First-rate coordination, collaboration, organization and multi-tasking skills
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, communication, marketing or related field
