Our client is urgently looking for an experienced Information Security Manager to join their team based in Portsmouth, on a permanent basis.

You will support the Head of IT to deliver efficient and effective compliance with the Information Security Management System. The Information Security Manager is expected to be able to fully grasp the complexity of information security, including the CIA Triad' (confidentiality, integrity and availability) principles, robust data management and good data governance.

You will also need to manage and continually improve the information security management system within the business (which includes ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials) and you will also assist with certifications such as PCI DSS. You will be expected to manage the internal and external audits to the agreed schedule and standards.

Information Security Manager - Key Skills:

• You will have a clear, in-depth, understanding of information security.
• A recognised information security certification (such as CIPT, CISSP, CISM, CISA, Lead Auditor for ISO27001) is highly desirable.
• Hands-on, practical experience of managing an information security programme is essential.
• Experience of owning and delivering information security initiatives, including awareness programmes, phishing simulations and training.
• Knowledge of technological aspects of information security, including network architecture, the software development life cycle, penetration testing, DLP tools, patch management and vulnerability assessment is highly desirable.
• Strong skills with MS Office software (especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and superb organisational skills is essential.
• Excellent IT skills and ability to assess documents and systems for conformity to internal and external standards.
• Familiarity with principles of good data governance, cyber security and data protection is also essential.
• Experience of leading and conducting audits (especially ISO27001) is essential in this role.
