Infrastructure Support Engineer

A well-known client of ours have opened an IT Infrastructure Administrator role, a chance join a team who are going through a period of change. IT services is at the forefront of this companies plans to progress their offering. As a result the demand for efficient and reliable IT services has increased leading to this vacancy.

Key responsibilities

The successful candidate will lead a small team to optimise performance and reliability of:

• On Premise VMWare
• On premise Servers
• Datacentres
• Backup Environments
• Cloud Environments

Experience

• 2 years + experience in server/data centre administration (on Premise)
• VMWare management experience including Storage and Network
• Comfortable with Microsoft windows domain service - Active Directory, remote desktop ect
• Experience with Backup management
• Exposure to Cloud would be an advantage (AWS or Azure)

This position will be based in the client offices and Data Centres in York and will require some work on site. As a result the working practice will follow a Hybrid model, with lots of flexibility when it comes to where and when you work.
