Technical Author - Software & IT Systems - On-Line Help

Clear and effective communication is important at the best of times. When your customer and audience is on the front line of public safety, well-crafted documentation with clear and concise communication saves lives.

As a Technical Author/Writer in this global technology & services company you will take ownership of technical documentation for a portfolio of software products. Your audience is 1) a Software R&D team building a range of software & systems and 2) Customers looking for on-line help and support using the products and services.

As such we are looking for someone from a software, cloud or technical IT background with experience as a Technical Author/Technical Writer creating online help, training, safety and security content for Software & Technology products.

Summary of experience - Technical Writer

• 3+ years' experience as a Technical Author or Technical Writer
• Experience working in an established software business
• Knowledge of AuthorIT and/or MadCap Flare
• Experience developing Online Help using recognised tools.
• Knowledge of the software development process - Agile
• Fluent in the use of MS Office including Word and Visio
• Commercially aware and good at managing timescales, deadlines and prioritising workload
