Senior Software Engineer ( C/C++ )

World-class Technology company with offices globally are looking for two skilled Senior Software Engineers with good knowledge of C and C++, to join a couple of their Agile Edinburgh squads.

They've been operating very successfully now for several decades and are considered market leaders in their field. They have several products that are used worldwide - they mainly specialise in offshore exploration.

Their Edinburgh technical function currently sit at roughly thirty strong, and they've went through a period of growth this past year. They're currently looking to bolster two really established product function squads with an additional Software Engineer for each - in both you'd find yourself working alongside roughly seven Software Engineers, Scrum Master and Product Owner.

In each you'd be helping the team to improve, expand and customise their market-leading products for their extensive client-base. Additionally, they're always looking at new and innovative ideas for different projects - that you'll be involved in.

You'll ideally have experience with the most of the following;

* Several years of programming with C and C++

* Working in a Linux environment

* Working with Databases (ideally PostgreSQL)

Experience with the following is highly desirable;

* Cloud Services (ideally AWS)

* DevOps tools

* Working within an Agile environment

They've got a great culture here, in a recent employee survey two of the most common topics reported were; the project work is really interesting, and the staff culture is great. It's probably no surprise then that their retention rate is incredibly high, with the average tenure of Engineers is currently 12 years - however they've got several team members that have far exceeded this.

They're based in central Edinburgh, and are able to offer hybrid working or largely remote - they'd prefer people to pop in when needed (1-2-1's, SPRINTs, Project planning etc). So you'll ideally be based in commutable distance to Edinburgh.

In return they're able to offer a salary of £50k to £65k, dependent on experience and fit + benefits.
