Our client a global technology leader is currently looking for an DWH Solutions Designer/Developer.

Responsibilities:-

• Work with Finance Business Stakeholders and Technology teams to define the Finance Systems data architecture strategy, future product direction and technology capability
• Source and structure data from Operational source systems to support technical and regulatory reporting requirements
• Understand design requirements and design appropriate data solutions for development teams
• Design data lineage/data flows for the relevant interfaces and provide an analysis of the existing and future data retention and security requirements that need to be adhered to
• Produce and own the E2E solution design documentation which will be the reference document for technical implementations
• Ensure any detailed platform solution designs are produced and aligned with the E2E Solution Design Document
• Incorporate 3rd party deliverables into the overall solution
• Work with customers and the wider Finance Systems team to define technologies to meet functional and non-functional requirements
• Engage with project, Finance stakeholders and other data and business teams to achieve consensus to proposed solutions and influence the decision making process
• Work with Service Transition on the deployment plans and non-functional requirements for the solution
• Ensure that the E2E Solution design remains up to date throughout the project life cycle; that it represents the solution which is deployed and that the final solution is communicated back to the Shared Services to baseline production environments and infrastructure
• Support build teams by providing technical specifications, reviewing detailed program specifications and providing guidance on best practices for strategic solution development.
• Support System and UAT test teams, helping with understanding of the change and reviewing test cases to ensure full coverage
• Formalise standards, design patterns and best practices around data architecture and solution design
• Ensure the maintenance, definition and delivery of change to the Finance data systems and processes are in accordance with data architecture principles

Must have

• Knowledge of software solution development life cycles and principles of data security (including GDPR and other data regulations)
• Ability to assimilate technical and business information and translate them into practical solutions
• 5+ years Solution Design experience
• 5+ years exposure in Data Warehouse/Datamodelling and Microsoft SQL Server technologies, or other SQL variants
• Strong experience in designing Finance solutions using ETL and data warehousing technology
• Certification and/or deep knowledge of at least one architecture framework
• Certification and/or deep knowledge of at least one cloud data platform
• Understanding and passion for data quality with excellent analytical skills
• Experienced in working alongside Finance teams, accountants and actuaries designing solutions to finance data problems
