Your new role
As the first point of contact for technical support, you will play an exciting role in assisting end-users with their computer hardware and software needs. Working closely with the Service Desk Manager, you will provide prompt assistance to users, resolving technical faults, addressing queries, and fulfilling service requests. Your main objective will be to ensure that users can resume their work smoothly and satisfactorily.
In addition to handling user support, you will also contribute to user rights, password management, user accounts, and basic security administration. Your commitment to delivering excellent customer service will be paramount in this role.
Your strong communication skills will be instrumental in diagnosing user issues and effectively conveying technical information in a clear and understandable manner, even to non-technical individuals. This ability to bridge the gap between technical expertise and user understanding will be crucial in providing top-notch support and ensuring user satisfaction.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this job opportunity, you must possess or be aware the following skills and qualifications:
- Proficiency in all aspects of Windows desktop and application support.
- Competence in providing support for tablet and mobile devices.
- Basic network troubleshooting skills, including the ability to perform tasks such as ping and trace route.
- Experience in administering Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange Server, and Office 365.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Active Directory and Exchange administration.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Group Policy.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure AD Sync and Azure AD Connect.
Enthusiasm for new technology and a keen interest in learning about the latest trends and their practical applications.
