Social Media Marketer

We re looking for someone who gets who we are, what we re doing and what we re saying. We have a lot to tell people, about our products, about our Community Interest Company Buy Land Plant Trees, about our concerns for the environment and the efforts we re making to help mitigate environmental degradation. The trouble is, we re so busy with the stuff we re doing that we don t have time to say as much about it on social media as we would like to.

We don t want to just put blah out there, we don t want to post for posting s sake. If we haven t got anything to say, we d rather not say it. But there usually is something to talk about! So we re offering a part-time role to someone who is keen to help. The role is 15 hours per week, but there is capacity for more marketing work for the right candidate.

We re looking for someone who is:

• experienced across FB, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter and TikTok.
• able to plan and schedule social media in line with the marketing plan but remain flexible and topical according to seasonality, weather and current affairs.
• creative and filled with fresh ideas!
• able to spell and write using correct grammar.
• able to work as part of the wider marketing team and happy to work with the rest of our warehouse team to create content.
• able to create content that is relevant and suited to each social platform.
• able to create engaging and meaningful image and video content in our ToV and true to our values - we have a good catalogue of imagery which can be used but we are looking for someone who is also happy to create lots of informative, engaging and creative video for our various social media platforms.
• experienced in using Canva.
• has a good knowledge of sustainability and green living.
• is able to keep up to date with platform changes, updates and algorithms, adapting content accordingly.

This is a permanent role for the right person (and it might grow into a full time role as we seem to keep growing). There would be a 3 month probationary period.

The location is at Chimney Sheep HQ in Workington but the role lends itself to working from home some of the time and there may be a bit of walking up fells, through woodlands and visiting gardens to give updates on what we re up to.
