Environmental Consultant
You will be working directly with the Senior Management Team to assist with the project management of environmental permits and regulatory compliance on behalf of AAe s Clients within the waste and development sector.
This role includes field work, report writing of key supporting documents, communicating with other stakeholders and engineers, site inspections and compliance audits, collation and organising applications. The role is based in Abingdon, Oxfordshire but the candidate will be expected to travel to sites, as necessary.
You should have a background and interest in one of the following disciplines: environmental science, geology, physical chemistry and geosciences.
You must be educated to at least to degree level and be able to demonstrate good quality report writing. This role is suitable for capable graduates and/or individuals with 1 2 years experience in the waste/environmental compliance sector. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to keep up to date with trends and best practice in environmental permitting and compliance. You must be diligent and able to organise self to be on time, delivering work to set timelines. As part of a Client friendly Company, you will be positive, professional and build rapport with Clients. Applicable work experience is desired.
The successful candidate will be supported by AAe and trained to perform the role. We invest in the continuing development of our staff and their role progression.
SALARY & BENEFITS:
• Full Time;
• £25,000 per annum;
• Bonus (dependent on Company performance);
• 20 days holiday + bank holidays;

• Company will cover relevant membership of a relevant professional body;
• Regular internal and on the job training;
• Use of company vehicles for site visits; and
• Expenses and mileage claimable for site visit work (upon agreement).
KEY SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Educated to degree level: ideally in environmental science, geology, physical chemistry and geosciences;
• Attention to detail;
• Ability to undertake site work, when required;
• A can do attitude and good work ethic;
• Good standard of report writing;
• Communicate effectively;
• Good use of Microsoft Excel and Word;
• Able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team; and
• Clean UK/EU driving licence.
The successful candidate will be required to travel to site and consequently must be a UK qualified driver.
