My client are looking for a Risk Specialist to head up their Risk function on a permanent basis. The Role is based in the City and offers hybrid working, with the expectation of being in twice a week.

Responsibilities of the role will be.
Oversight and analysis of financial risks - credit, liquidity, market and capital - and non-financial risks - operational, IT & cyber. Co-ordination of the Technology Governance framework with support of Director of associated Risk teams. Drive accountability and visibility of risk oversight across the senior leadership team and within their business units to ensure that risks are being effectively managed in line with the risk appetite and compliant with the risk management framework. Lead and develop the capabilities of the dedicated global Risk oversight teams who provide risk event management support, ensuring the escalation process is followed and work with key stakeholders to close out events and track preventative action items, ensuring issues are resolved in a satisfactory manner and risk frameworks are Embedded and complied with. Co-ordinate the refresh of Risk and Control Self assessments. Further develop and deliver on key requirements of the Risk Road Map which include improved visibility of risk metrics across technology, Finance and Oppration to provide clearer definition of roles and responsibilities across the 3 lines of defence.
