Change Digital Recruitment is seeking a Senior Technical Manager behalf of a well-established UK retail bank with a trusted and recognisable brand. This organisation provides retail and commercial banking services and maintain a high street network as well digital and telephony banking channels.

The position of Senior Technical Manager, Mortgages is responsible for leading a team to manage, improve and drive the utilisation of the retail banks platforms and the data that is extracted from within them. This role will provide the business with key customer data that will help the business drive improvement of customer engagement and satisfaction.

This is a leadership position that has responsibility for managing a UK based technical team as well as 3rd party vendor support that is based offshore. The location for this role is flexible but there will be occasions when the successful candidate will be required to attend meetings in London and Edinburgh.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage and support the strategy and road map for the Mortgage platforms.
• Manage and support the design, including architecture, build and implementation of new Mortgage requirements.
• Manage the Mortgages technology teams including MSO, Servicing platforms and integration technologies.
• Support business in creating new Mortgage delivery ideas.
• Act as an SME on the Mortgage platforms advising the business functions of the appropriate tools and mechanisms to drive future data analytics .
• Lead on the development of the capabilities of the team.

Experience and skills:

• A strong background in dealing with Mortgage sales and servicing applications.
• Experience in data analysis of Mortgages and other downstream data.
• Experience in systems like MSO (IRESS) and UFSS (Unisys)
• Certification in cloud tech (AWS, Azure) will be an added benefit
• Strong relationship building skills.
• The successful candidate will have a technical background and approach as well as having a strategic outlook and the ability to advise on how best to further develop the function
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence, negotiate and persuade both internal/external stakeholders at a senior level.
• Ability to work/cut across full stack (Back End, Middleware and Front End)
