Embedded Software Architect

We are currently looking on behalf of one of our important clients for an Embedded Software Architect. The role is permanent position based in Zürich Canton & comes with good home office allowance.

Your role:

• Represent the requirements of several Embedded software teams in the context of a IoT Instrument/Server Architecture.
• Review & align technical concepts with business requirements.
• Hold conceptual architecture responsibility for cross-system aspects of specific features.
• Work closely with other software architects.
• Support Embedded teams in other locations.
• Apply modern software concepts with consideration of conceptual reusability.
• Work on proof-of-concepts & develop innovative solutions.
• Evaluate possibilities in technology & elaborate solution approaches.
• Participate in reviews & perform refactorings to improve software quality.
• Contributing substantially to the implementation, depending on the project phase.

Your Skills:

• At least 5 years of Embedded Software Engineering experience, ideally including within Industrial high tech environments.
• An in-depth knowledge of C++ & ideally also in .NET6, as well as their Methods, Designs & Architectures.
• Skilled in the development of Linux based Software.
• Experienced in all or most of the following areas: CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, Agile methods (SAFe, Scrum), Automated Testing & Code Quality.
• Some knowledge regarding Software Security (Certificate Management, TLS, OpenID Connect).
• Familiar with HTML5, WebAssembly, gRPC & REST.

Your Profile:

• Completed University Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar.
• Open, communicative, committed, responsible & team-oriented.
• Pragmatic, structured & quality-focused.
• Fluent in English (spoken & written), German language skills are considered very advantageous.
