Principal Network Consultant

Principal Network Consultant (CCIE) - Fully Remote - £80,000- £90,000

We're currently partnered with one of the UK's leading Managed Service Providers and currently hiring a Principal Network Consultant to join their professional services function. This role is fully remote and may require travel to a customer site from time to time. The business is looking for very experienced network professionals who are well-rounded and enjoy both design, consultancy, and implementation of highly complex network solutions. While dealing with several big projects across the business.

Daily Responsibilities:

You will operate at CCIE level, delivering network consultancy work primarily within the remit of Professional Services
Complex network and routing, planning, design, and implementation for major corporate and government clients. This includes exceptional quality HLD and LLD documentation, regularly customer-facing.
Working with the Pre-Sales team to develop technical solutions and answering technical questions from customers and prospects.
Working with architects in the business to design costed roadmaps and process improvement.
Supporting the Sales Enablement functions in preparing a library of sales collateral and materials for use by field-based Pre-Sales teams

Essential Experience:

Extensive experience with Cisco Firewalls and Switches.
In-depth knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 connectivity, fabric infrastructure, storage networking, planning network services, automation, and orchestration.
Ability to diagnose deep problems by using tooling such as SPAN and NetFlow.
In-depth knowledge of network security best practices.
Understanding of traditional hosting technologies and approaches (dedicated hosting, co-location, private cloud)
Be self-motivated, tenacious, disciplined, enthusiastic, and resilient
Have outstanding networking, presentation, and communication skills, written and oral
